We take a lot of pride in our finishing and have spent many years refining our tecniques and materials. We offer a wide range of different finishing services to fit your needs & specifications. Click/tap the below buttons to go to that section.
Full Refinishing

Refinishing can be great option for you, if you’d like to give an old and worn guitar a new lease on life, or to put your personal spin on your favourite instrument. We use various different stains, paints and lacquers, to cater to your preferred finsh.
When we conduct a refinish, we’ll take your guitar, do a full strip down, including all the original finish. We then prepare the wood by grain filling and fine sanding any problematic areas. Once everyting is prepared, we paint or stain the guitar to your specifications and re-lacquer with a finish of your choice…eg. Satin or Gloss. Here are a couple of examples:

Spot Repairs
We can repair and re-spray the vast majority of small to medium sized dings/scratches without needing to refinish the entire guitar. We will always do our best to make all repairs as invisible or in-keeping with the current finish, however on some larger repairs, this may not always be possible.
Neck Break Re-sprays
One of the more frequent jobs we’re asked to do is to re-spray the area around where a neck break was repaired. This Gibson® is a good example:

Damage Repair
If you’ve spent enough time around guitars, you know, all too well, that accidental damage is just a matter of time. This bass took a knock on it’s top horn. The damage was quite deep so we had to sand an amount of the surrounding area to make sure the horn still looked and felt natural.
Decal Replacement
We can replace and lacquer over any decals that may have gotten damaged or worn away. Custom decals can also be arranged but may take longer to source and finish. Here is a decal we replaced on a Martin® acoustic:
Post Re-fret Spraying
Due to the nature of performing a re-fret, guitars that have lacquered fretboards may have some of their finish sanded or filed away. This is usually the case on Fender® style Maple necks, where the sanded wood will look lighter than the rest of the neck. We can colour match a stain to bring the lighter wood to the same hue as the rest of the neck and then re-lacquer.
Signature Preservation
If you’ve ever gotten an artist or band’s autographs on your guitar, you may feel worried about rubbing them off over time. This often leads to the guitar becoming more of an ornament than something you want to play. We can protect those signatures with a few coats of clear lacquer, not only to keep them in good condition, but make your guitar a fully playable instrument again.
Motorcycle / Small Automotive Spraying
We don’t just limit our services to guitar finishing, we can also take on motorcycle and other smaller scale automotive spray jobs. We use automotive 2k paints and lacquers that are highly weather and chemical resistant, so you don’t need to worry about splashed petrol stripping your lacquer off. For these jobs, unfortunately, we cannot store your vehicle, so please ensure what you want sprayed can be removed first.
